How BreakTest handles visitor data.

Website analytics

We use a self-hosted Umami Analytics instance to understand which public pages are useful, whether the site performs well, and which product links visitors use. It records page URL and title, referrer, browser language, screen size, browser and operating-system family, device type, coarse country information, Core Web Vitals, and the labels of selected product interactions such as opening the download page. We do not send form contents, email addresses, account identifiers, or download contents to analytics.

Umami's public tracker does not set cookies, write a visitor identifier to browser storage, fingerprint visitors, or track them across websites. The server derives an anonymous session hash from limited request information so visits can be counted without assigning a directly identifying client ID. Analytics is hosted with the rest of the BreakTest service and is not shared with an advertising network. The tracker respects your browser's Do Not Track setting and excludes query strings and URL fragments.

We process these limited measurements for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site. Because no cookie or similar client-side identifier is used, the public site does not display a cookie-consent banner. You can also block the analytics request in your browser or enable Do Not Track without losing site functionality.

Enquiries and account services

If you request a demo or email us, we use the email address, optional telephone number, and message you provide to answer your enquiry. We retain the correspondence only as long as needed for the enquiry, contract, security, or legal record. Customer-portal registration and licensing involve additional account, installation, security, and transaction records described in the account privacy notice.

Recipients and transfers

Authorized Breaking IT personnel and contracted hosting, email, and security providers receive only the data needed for their role. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we use an applicable adequacy decision or contractual safeguards.

Retention and your rights

Analytics and correspondence are periodically deleted when no longer useful for the purposes above; security and legal records may be kept longer where necessary. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Send a request to [email protected]. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority or your local supervisory authority.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected by the version date above. Privacy questions are welcome at [email protected].
